# Running the Game
VOADI is not yet released.
When it is, there will be nice, easy downloads for each platform.
Until then, you can test the development version of the game by following the steps below.
## Linux
On Ubuntu-based distros, run the following commands.
Install the Solarus repo. **Replace `18.04` with your Ubuntu version:**
```
sudo echo "deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/nate-devv:/solarus-debian/xUbuntu_18.04/ ./" > /etc/sources.list.d/solarus.list
```
Next, install Solarus Engine:
```
sudo apt update
sudo apt install -y solarus
```
Clone the game:
```
git clone https://gitlab.com/voadi/voadi.git
```
And run it!
```
solarus -run voadi
```
## Windows
Download the Solarus Engine by visiting the [Solarus Downloads page](http://www.solarus-games.org/engine/download/), scrolling down, and clicking "Download" for the Windows version.
Extract the zip file and enter the `solarus` folder inside.
Launch `solarus.exe`.
Download the latest development version of VOADI with this link: https://gitlab.com/voadi/voadi/-/archive/master/voadi-master.zip
Extract it somewhere on your computer.
Return to the Solarus Engine program, and click "Add", then navigate to the voadi folder you extracted earlier and select it.
The folder you select should have "data" inside it.
This will add the quest to the Solarus Engine, and you can select it and click "Play" to run it any time. |
