This repository contains the scripts I developed during my Master’s thesis project, which focused on designing and implementing an automatic pointing model framework for the Euler Telescope at La Silla Observatory. The codebase includes routines for data extraction, pointing model construction using a custom Python-based emulation of the TPOINT model, residual analysis, model validation tools, and additional diagnostics such as field rotation and star elongation analysis. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first publicly available implementation of a TPOINT-like model in Python. I hope it can serve both as a practical toolkit and a learning resource for others working in astronomical instrumentation or telescope automation. For full details on the methodology and context, you can access the thesis manuscript here: https://1drv.ms/b/c/8c0552583c50cd59/Ec80tP1h7G9BoY9CqG4-bFwB3IvmEx3xr4MQdE3A3gaDzQ?e=p7YwIy and watch the recorded thesis defense presentation here: https://youtu.be/jAweU7BmVwM?si=8z-KtTzvGopoLIz4

paramspace is a python package that makes it easy to iterate over a multidimensional parameter space, where each point corresponds to a dict-like object. It integrates tightly with YAML to make definition of parameter spaces and sweeps super simple.
For a usage example, see utopya and the Utopia Project.
