# Getting Packages
Find a package you're interested in on the GPM registry website? Great! You can easily copy the gpm cli command straight from the website. Now open up your favorite command line tool, navigate to your projects director and run the command.
#### For Example:
I want to install the [`@mgi/json`](https://gpackage.io/packages/@mgi/json) package to my project located on my computer in the folder `C:\my-project`.
1. Open a command prompt by clicking `Start->Run` and typing `cmd`
2. Change your working directory to the project you'd like to install the package to. To do this for this example we'll execute the command `cd C:\my-project`
3. Now we're ready to install the package. Use the command `gpm install @mgi/json`. The package contents will be downloaded and installed into your projects **gpm_packages** folder. |
