Can you give CONFIG_EFI_ZBOOT a go? It might help with boot time as the kernel compresses quite well.

I don't have a good setup to test the boot times, but trying..

if it boots at all that's what matters, i think zboot will be either strongly recommended or required for EFI kernels in pmOS going forward

oh yeah you need to install vmlinuz.efi instead of vmlinuz...

Was tested on previous kernel version (6.6.3), but the merge request got updated on the current 6.7.2

Was tested on previous kernel version (6.6.3), but the merge request got updated on the current 6.7.2 -- @krey_glsux2 (!4774 (comment 1748539002))

it seems to be caused because of the kernel flavor that we are using.. I will recreate this for LTS kernel, because it makes no sense trying to fix the issue in https://megous.com/git/linux, branched orange-pi-6.7-20240127-1717 when teres works fine on LTS and doesn't need any of these patches that would only break things as in this scenario
