Add Fedora CoreOS to osinfo-db
Fedora CoreOS is an automatically-updating, minimal operating system for running containerized workloads securely and at scale.
The discussion to add it started here: #67 (comment 418510760).
Summing up, Fedora CoreOS has 3 different "versions". Stable, Next, and Testing and uses an ignition file to perform the installation.
On osinfo-db side, we need to:
-
Add support to those 3 new entries; -
Add support to the schema do deal with ignition files; -
Check whether unattended installations are / will be supported;
On libosinfo side, we need to:
-
Add APIs for dealing with the ignition files;
Still pending on Fedora CoreOS side:
-
treeinfo files on their mirrors; -
A way to differentiate the ISOs volume IDs;
Some of those items are being covered here: https://github.com/coreos/fedora-coreos-tracker/issues/221
