Issues during reconfiguration of Gitlab. PG::ConnectionBad: could not connect to server: No such file or directory. Is the server running locally and accepting connections on Unix domain socket "/var/opt/gitlab/postgresql/.s.PGSQL.5432"?
Summary
Hi. I have Windows 10 64bit, processor: Intel Core i5-6200U, CPU: @ 2.30GHz 2.40GHz, memory: 16,0GB RAM, 165GB free space on disk. I am running subsystem for Windows 10, Debian 9. When I run sudo gitlab-ctl reconfigure
, the Gitlab said that Chef Client failed and gives the next errors.
Steps to reproduce
Installing Gitlab goes well. I get the Fox figure when Gitlab is installed. Then I run sudo gitlab-ctl reconfigure
and get the errors. I reinstalled postgresql with no succes. When I run sudo gitlab-ctl status
I get the next output:
run: gitaly: (pid 10546) 1s; run: log: (pid 414) 283859s
run: postgresql: (pid 10556) 1s; run: log: (pid 415) 283859s
run: redis: (pid 31847) 86083s; run: log: (pid 416) 283859s
What is the current bug behavior?
I get the next error:
- bash[migrate gitlab-rails database] action run
[execute] rake aborted!
PG::ConnectionBad: could not connect to server: No such file or directory
Is the server running locally and accepting
connections on Unix domain socket "/var/opt/gitlab/postgresql/.s.PGSQL.5432"?
/opt/gitlab/embedded/service/gitlab-rails/lib/tasks/gitlab/db.rake:55:in `block (3 levels) in (required)>'
/opt/gitlab/embedded/bin/bundle:23:in `load'
/opt/gitlab/embedded/bin/bundle:23:in `'
Tasks: TOP => gitlab:db:configure
(See full trace by running task with --trace)
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
What is the expected correct behavior?
After the reconfiguration I expect to go to my browser and entering my url which will bring me to Logon screen of Gitlab.
