What does this MR do and why?

1st proposed solution mentioned in #427351 (closed)

Fixes rspec fast_spec_helper, rspec unit clickhouse ... (#427351 - closed). I have verified with Draft: Jennli test gems (!133388 - closed) that this indeed fixes the syntax error.
