Update documentation for Elasticsearch specs traits
Update documentation for Elasticsearch specs
in best_practices.md
for each of the different global search traits available for testing with the search backend
There are three current traits:
-
:elastic
the most performant one, does not delete documents between examples, sets up indices once -
:elastic_clean
recreates all indices for every example -
:elastic_delete_by_query
deletes documents after each example and recreates indices for every context
Tasks
-
determine whether update elastic_delete_by_query
should usemulti_index: false
and update it if needed - #393614 (comment 1300599456) -
determine whether :elastic
should delete documents between examples and update it if needed - #393614 (comment 1300602495) -
update documentation with each trait and a brief description of what it does and why you may prefer one over the other (done in #382634 (closed))
The following discussion from !111678 (merged) should be addressed:
-
@dgruzd started a discussion: (+5 comments) question: I believe that
:elastic
should be faster. Is there a specific reason to use:elastic_delete_by_query
?🙂
