Environments redesign - Deployment Block

Release notes

We have redesigned the Environments page with new UI components and layout to improve usability and make it easier to understand the status of a project's deployments. More specifically, you can now easily see the latest deployment status, the status of the various Environments, and which commits have been deployed.

Problem to solve

Improve the readability and usability of the environments page, starting with how folders are shown.

Intended users

User experience goal

The user can more easily view the different deployments and their status in the environments page.

Proposal

Redesign the environment component. See mockups in Design Management below 👇🏼

This issue is one of multiple issues for redesigning the environments page. We can implement each of these separately and roll out via feature flag together when ready.

What does success look like, and how can we measure that?

This issue will be successful within the bigger context of adoption for the redesigned environments page. We will measure adoption and customer satisfaction through customer validation during & after release of the new page.

Our plan is to releasing this under a feature flag to a sub-set of users, get quick feedback and release to our entire user pool. An in-page survey after the full release can also help validate satisfaction once it's fully launched.
