As part of an effort to open source some currently paid features and move them to our free tier. Incremental rollout has been identified as a feature worth moving down.
Proposal
Incremental Rollout should be moved to core. This requires the removal of any licensing checks for the feature which is currently in the Premium tier.
Documentation
Documentation for this feature should be updated to reflect that this is no longer in a paid tier.
@ogolowinski - Agreed, we should add ~"Accepting merge requests" to all of these issues. However - I think we are still planning on actively moving them, I couldn't find a reference otherwise. So community could move them immediately if they'd like, we will schedule them. They might not be an immediate item but should be reasonably considered given their impact. Does that help?
@krasio - we are being asked to move some features in Premium down to Core. Sid would love for this to be done in 12.10, but I don't think that is realistic - can you take a look at this issue and weight it?
Although, I don't see a reference to incremental_rollout in that file - so maybe that would be just deploy_board, which also applies to the other move - canary
@jmeshell From what I understand this feature is not restricted to Premium and should be available in Core, maybe it's the docs that are wrong and need updating?
Sorry for not being very helpful but this ooks too much like ~"devops::configure" territory and is totally new to me. One way to confirm will be to just test it locally but I don't have AutoDevops setup (didn't have such need yet).
