Member is discovered and available to select in the drop down menu.
Summary
When attempting to add a member to one of my Groups (specifically a Subgroup), they cannot be found in the dropdown list. However, they are infact a member. It does seem to find members who have "Z_V" in their username, however not the member "Z_V" precisely.

Any status update on this? It's impacting my ability to work with my teammate on our projects, as I cannot give him proper permissions to access resources in the groups
I was able to temporarily resolve this issue by grabbing the internal UserId of the member, and within the form replacing with the desired UserId and submitting. Although a workaround is possible, this is not an acceptable solution for the UX. A status update would be appreciated regarding the fix surrounding this pretty glaring endpoint bug.

My apologies, I don't use GitLab all too often these days.
Yes, when I filed this bug report, the user with username @Z_V would not appear when attempting to add them to a group. I was able to work around this by finding their unique user ID and manually injecting it into the submit field at the time, but it is otherwise quite a breaking bug for less technical users.
