Splitting this out into it's own issue as per @pedroms suggestion:
Communication of research findings
I'm not utilising the UX Research Slack channel as much as I could be. I think this is a good way for people to find out what I'm currently working on and to share snippets of research: "Hey, I've just found out our users struggle with X, because of Y and Z." I want to promote discussion around research and Slack allows me to do that in an asynchronous way. For people who are not actively involved in the issues I create, it's a good way to keep them up to speed on what users think and feel.
I think a 'de-brief' call of some sort would be useful after any research, primarily it should be the product owner, designer and me in the call, but I'd like to extend these to anyone within the company with an interest (again utilising Slack to advertise these). I want to make these interactive i.e. I don't want to just talk at people. I think they'd be more of a workshop, than a presentation.
Solution
Close UX research channel - utilise UX channel. This will keep findings closer to design, rather than creating a divide.
Share snippets of ongoing research within the UX channel.
UX research now has a functional update every 5 weeks.
Plan quarterly UX workshops.
Write more blog posts containing snippets of user videos.
