馃搵 Tracking issue: Talent Assessment FY22 - Secure & Protect, and Monitor
This is the tracking issue for the FY22 Talent Assessment of the Secure & Protect, and Monitor UX Team.
Nov 1-5: Pre-work
1. Become familiar with the Talent Assessment process
Please make sure to review how we will define "Growth", and how both performance and growth will be measured.
2. Fill out your Performance Factors worksheet
Every designer will fill out their Performance Factors worksheet: select a performance factor for each responsibility and add examples to the "notes" column.
I have already created copies for each of you and invited you as editors. The only change from last year is that we now also have an extra "Growth" sheet in that document. That enables us to look at the two factors together and create a Performance/Growth matrix together.

3. Add highlights to our 1:1 agenda doc
Add the following:
- 2-3 strengths/accomplishments (and supporting examples)
- 2-3 improvement areas
- Anything else noteworthy (I.E. recently promoted, COVID impact, etc.)
Nov 8-17: Review your performance sheet 1:1
Between November 8th and 17th we will then have a sync session to review your Performance Factor sheet assessment together during our 1:1s.
Nov 18: Calibration session (UX Managers)
On November 18th the UX Management team will have a calibration session to ensure that our assessments are fair across the entire team. I will have to highlight the following for each of you:
- 2-3 strengths/accomplishments (and supporting examples)
- 2-3 improvement areas
- Anything else noteworthy (I.E. recently promoted, COVID impact, etc.)
Dec 6 - 10: Reviews and Approvals
After the calibration session, Christie and Valerie will make sure that the ratings are aligned and forward the documents to Total Rewards/E-Group.
Jan 31: Communicate results
Managers can communicate Performance/Growth Factors to team members, which should lead to career conversations.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions feel free to continue the discussion here. Thank you!
