Promote Ecosystem to a Stage
Why is this change being made?
- To better understand and support the work happening in ~"group::ecosystem" , it needs to be promoted to a Stage. As a Group, it's unclear what staffing is going to what initiatives and what the longer-term vision/roadmap is.
- Expanded investment in Foundations would further exacerbate the existing problems. Having a stage with distinct groups would be ideal.
What does this MR do?
- Updates
categories.yml
andstages.yml
as appropriate- Promotes Ecosystem to a stage
- New groups underneath: Integrations, Foundations, Contributor Experience
- Distributes existing categories into the newly added groups
- Changes Jira Integration and API to "Other functionality owned by the Ecosystem Stage"
- Moves the Ecosystem direction pages to
about.gitlab.com/direction/ecosystem
- Updates the main index to reflect Stage template
- Updates the child pages to reflect the Group template
- Expands direction content where applicable to reflect the longer-view of Stages and Groups (coming from a Group and Categories)
