Re-balance AMER Response Crew
As I went through the process of building out the bot notification, I noticed the schedule was not quite balanced. I would like for us to review the schedule and try to balance it out to match this format:
- 2 SaaS
- 2 SM
- 1 US Federal
- 1 L&R (where available)
To do this, I'm thinking the following:
Role | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
SaaS 1 | E - @m_lussier
E - @rkelly
W - @bfoster
C - @duncan_harris
W - @tristan
SaaS 2 | C - @mmora
W - @cynthia
C - @cleveland
E - @calebw
W - @gerardo
SM 1 | E - @jayo
C - @ericrosenberg88
W - @sahbabou
E - @kchappell
W - @jgendrano
SM 2 | W - @dstanley
W - @cody
E - @myacksmith
E - @wchandler
W - @lwbrown
US Federal | E - @admiralboom
C - @greg
E - @bcarranza
E - @harishsr
C - @dcoy
L&R | C - @tom.houston
vacant | C - @kevenhughes
vacant | W - @jemcgrew
Managers | @mdunninger |
@JamesRLopes |
@izzyfee |
@ralfaro |
@rspainhower |
Key:
- E - AMER East
- C - AMER Central
- W - AMER West
The concept being:
- We have at least 5 people in various areas of focus available (6 for days with L&R)
- It is easy to do overrides and edit the schedule to accommodate more/less people
- SaaS are people with admin permissions on gitlab.com
- US Federal are those splitting time between US Federal and Global
- L&R are those actively focused on L&R tickets
This is just a first iteration/guess for the schedule itself. As long as the core concept works, we can re-arrange the schedule as desired.
I think this will balance out the crew and make it so changes are not as hard to accomplish. As an example, if someone moved to 100% US Federal, we could replace them in the US Federal with someone else splitting there time.
