uses kaniko executor instead of dind to build docker image

Why is this change being made?

I tried following the currently published hands-on lab instructions to build a container image. The build would always error out with the error message:

ERROR: Cannot connect to the Docker daemon at tcp://docker:2375. Is the docker daemon running?

This change modifies the pipeline to use the kaniko executor to build the image as described here: Building a docker image with kaniko
