Include Escalation Procedure in Vuln Mgmt Standard
Why is this change being made?
This MR adds two missing elements to the Vuln Mgmt Process:
- It specifies that Exception Requests must be requested within 7 days of detection. This is so that SLAs are not breached. For example if a Risk Acceptance is requested for an S2 too late and is subsequently rejected by Security, it risks breaching the SLA.
- It adds a simple Escalation Procedure to follow when any part of the Standard is not followed, but geared mainly towards SLA compliance and Exception Requests.
For further information on why this change is being made, see this observation created by Security Compliance.
