Develop Create stage vision for FY24
Overview
Over the next two months, the Create stage will collaborate together to set vision for the next year.
What is the deliverable?
- Develop 1 year plan for the stage and each group with epics capturing work on Direction Pages
- Review and adjust the 3 year strategy and themes for the stage via a top-down + bottoms-up approach. It will incorporate Company and Product objectives with Group-level initiatives
What are the top-level Product Investment Themes for FY24?
You will find a summary of the investment themes on this issue with more details being worked on in this merge request. Neither of these are final but are an indication of our direction.
As usability is one of themes, please also consider the benchmarking results from earlier in the year in planning.
How will we develop and set vision?

PM for each group develops a short deck on what the group should invest in over the next 12 months in line with top-level product investment themes. Slides to include (at a high-level): - What are the main priorities/problems to solve for FY24
- Why are these the priority and what theme to they relate to
- One slide on where you want your area to be in 3 years => This will feed into the stage 3 year vision

Record yourself presenting the deck. Create an issue that links to the recording and request input from your group by tagging everyone on it. -
Each group (UX, EMs, engineers, SET) will review and then contribute ideas/thoughts to an issue asynchronously, respective to their discipline, here are a few examples: - Do we need more testing for Pages? (SET)
- Is there a specific user journey that we need to improve the user experience of in Code Review? (UX)
- Is there a new market opportunity in Editor we should take advantage of? (Product)

PM condenses the feedback and prepares an MR to their direction page for the other PMs and GMP to review async. Please see Direction Page Guidance for details. -
GMP creates a merge request draft of the Create stage 1 year plan, 3 year themes, and 3 year strategy based on everyone's plans and in line the top-level product themes and assigns to PMs for review/contribution. -
