Search results appear in pop-up/modal; report issue link leads here to gitlab

1. If I open https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/docs/ and search, I either get "no results found," or a pop-up/modal and no readable results page. Not all the results fit in the modal. There is a scrollbar, but scrolling a modal in front of a page with text and other horizontal elements is a migraine trigger for users with "supermarket syndrome" or visually-induced vertigo
2. If I click "report an issue" I get sent here to gitlab. There is a giant non-scrolling sidebar, and if users end up having to scroll the page alongside a sidebar with horizontal elements it is another migraine trigger.
