Impossible to update any app

• Device OS and version: Android 9
• Device model/manufacturer: Moto g7 Power
• F-Droid version (in the About screen): 1.7.1
• F-Droid privileged extension version (if installed): //

What did you do? (clear steps if possible)

1 refresh to check if updates are available 2 Select one or more app and download the update 3 Click 'update' 4 Update is downloaded and i am prompted if i want to install it 5 click on install, the install seems to happen but when it returns to the app 'home' I still see the buttons 'unistall' and 'update' rather than 'unistall' and 'open'. 6 I can continue the process above forever...the app won't update

If i check the versions my version is the one behind 'suggested' meaning it wasn't updated. This happens to all apps...and I have been plagued by this for several weeks...I decided to report it now as I thought it was just me, however looking here I noticed similar (or related) tickets: #1955 (closed), #1940 and #1934.

What did you expect to see?

Apps are updated correctly.

What did you see instead?

Apps updates won't happen...you just indefinitely can keep doing that...
