An STM32G0B1 evaluation board. It is mainly intended to evaluate the CAN bus. It is therefore fitted with a CAN-FD-capable transceiver. Both the STM32G0B1's on-chip CAN peripheral and the transceiver support classic CAN 2.0A/2.0B as well as more modern CAN-FD, so firmware flashed onto the board can explore either. Any firmware flashed onto the board — including your own — can write debug output to a host computer via the USB serial interface.
Included herein is a demo program. Its purpose is to quickly check whether the board works. Therefore, it is blinking an LED. However, it also implements a simple, bidirectional CAN/USB bridge, using classic CAN 2.0B only (not CAN-FD). Textual representations of CAN 2.0B messages can be sent via USB serial and will then be forwarded via CAN 2.0B. And vice versa, CAN 2.0B messages received will be sent as text via USB serial — this is a fixed protocol, not free-form debug output. This requires no special equipment, just a serial monitor, as included in the Arduino IDE for example.
Flashing happens via SWD (ST-Link V2 dongle).
