[q3map2] skipgrid hack is not optional
See 04a6159 for commit introducing the change.
In TraceTriangle()
we can find this code with this comment: “FIXME this is an ugly hack” and the commit message says “beware of it”.
/* skip patches when doing the grid (FIXME this is an ugly hack) */
if( inGrid )
{
if (ti->skipGrid)
return qfalse;
}
Is doing this change a default one safe? What's the purpose of this change and what is expected?
If this change introduces regressions, I guess the best solutions would be to keep it in code base with an explicit -skipgrid
argument to trigger it, this way if some maps relies on this hack because they were done after this hack being introduced, they have not to be adjusted.
