UI: While capturing the Wireshark icon changes from green to blue when new file is created
Summary
While capturing the Wireshark icon changes from green to blue when new file is created, when using the "Create a new file automatically" setting.
Steps to reproduce
- Go to Capture Options dialog
- Select the capture interface and set capture filter (if needed)
- Go to Output tab, set the capture file name
- Select "Create a new file automatically", and "after" + 30 seconds (or whatever time)
- Start the capture
What is the current bug behavior?
See that the Wireshark icon in the taskbar is first green while capturing:
but when the capture file changes after 30 seconds the icon turns blue (while capture is still running):
What is the expected correct behavior?
It is expected that the same green "Hey this is the window where the capture is still running!" icon is still shown after starting a new capture file.
