Mac/Manufacturer File Format Changes
Summary
Previous manuf file that compiles mac prefix/vendor information is replaced by a C file that creates static arrays. A lot of open source libraries and websites depend on the data in given format for resolving mac/vendor information. Recent change in formatting will break a lot of integration. I understand this has nothing to do with the how Wireshark works or how effectively it works but for the sake of open source spirit, is there a way make-manuf.py will generate this manuf file so that these open source libraries and websites will be saved. Understandably we don't want Wireshark to introduce backward compatibility requirements but it will be great benefit for hundreds of opensource tools if we maintain this file.
