Utility functions for NPC chasing
Utility functions should be used to determine if an agent should continue to chase a target. Some of the parameters to consider are as follows:
- Danger to self
- Chance of defeating target
- Distance from spawn location/home location
- Benefit/desire of defeating target
- This could involve the following:
- Hunger? (Note that hunger survival mechanics are not planned for players but could in the context of population modeling for animals. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotka–Volterra_equations)
- War
