Minor design tweaks

When using the Calendar app, I found some design nitpicks with the size, margins, shadows, and color of some elements. I've made some changes that, in my opinion, can make it look more modern and user-friendly. I am a first-time contributor, so I might have missed some color combinations, performance considerations, or coding guidelines. Please review with caution.
