You should never, ever do commits such as these. It has added breaking functionality, refactoring and some experimental code that hasn't been completely cleaned because it will be useful at some stage. There are no excuses except laziness and lack of rigor. At least I'm honest about it!!! It is highly unlikely you will be able to understand anything by looking at the code changes, so don't bother.
