Incorrect current version string in Check For Updates dialog

By csueh... on August 15, 2011 13:59 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Update to 1.7.2 from 1.6.5
  2. Reboot
  3. About > Check For Updates...

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Check For Updates dialog shows the corrected installed version (1.7.2.0) but an incorrect current version (1.0.7.0).

It does correctly show, "You already have the latest version installed."

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

TortoiseGit 1.7.2, 1.7.6.msysgit.0 on Windows 7 32-bit.

Please provide any additional information below.

Not sure if the update is actually important, I just noticed the issue after installing. I got some garbled text in the TortoiseGit output window while pulling an update, so I went to check the version and found the incorrect current version string.
