TortoiseGitMerge - Using the double-click to select text feature

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Open a merge window on a file
  2. Double click an item (on left or right pane) to highlight all occurrences it

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I find this a useful feature to cross check uses of a renamed variable in one pane, with pre-renamed variables on the opposite pane to the one first selected - especially when the views are a little busy with changes.

Request 1) It would be nice if double clicking in one pane did not clear already highlighted items on the opposite pane.

Request 2) It would be useful if there was a count of how many items are highlighted in the footer (Left View: count, Right view: count) The count would be a quick and visual verification of same items selected on both panes - useful when one pane has old var name and trying to compare with other pane and a new var name.

Request 3) I see the footer items for "Encoding" have tool tips. For clarity, perhaps add "- = lines removed, + = lines added" hover tips to the numbers at the right of the "left/right views".

What version of TortoiseGit and Git are you using? On what operating system? TortoiseGitMerge 2.8.0.0
