TortoiseGit 2.1 crashes on broken git config or libgit warnings/errors

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Have a broken config, like e.g.

     [push]
     default=somethinginvalid
  2. Start TortoiseGit

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

No crash, but a warning for broken config file.

What version of TortoiseGit and Git are you using? On what operating system?

TortoiseGit 2.1

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
