Enhancement: Annotated tags

By neocryp... on January 18, 2010 22:29 (imported from Google Code)

Git allows the creation of annotated tags via the -a option, ex: git tag -a
v0.0.1 -m "tagging as v0.0.1" Is there a way to create these tags with
TortoiseGit?

It would be nice to have an optional log message on the create tag dialog
box. If the message entered was blank, the current (leightweight) tagging
procedure would be used; if a message was entered, an annotated tag would
be created instead with the log message provided.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
