Better line visibility using long springs
Hi,
at the beginning of my own Hangprinter project i was asking myself if there is a good way to make the lines visible. Its always bad to trip into lines because it can destroy lines, assembly parts or the printed parts.
I never found dyneema lines with glow in the dark effect.
The one idea i had no and i am going to experiment with is to use long springs. i bought some and will test it really soon when assembly is finished. The springs i am going to try are those: https://www.federnshop.com/de/produkte/zugfedern/z-006kx.html
hopefully the springs will not stuck or destroy anything else. The good thing is that they have less force so they do not affect the movement. You can expand them up to 500 mm and more while keeping the moving lines in the inner of the spring. I plan to put 3 springs in a row for each line A1/A2, B1/B2, C1/C2 to reach ~ 1.0m ... 1.5m. They help to make 0.5 mm thin lines more visible by their own outer diamter of 6 mm.
