[STRETCH GOAL] Create project slide deck for use at meetups and conferences
What
Create a general set of slides to use at conferences and events to introduce our project.
Optional Create a custom Google Slides theme for the project.
Suggested steps or approach
- Gather existing material. Contact project members who have already created slides about the project that they might donate for use. Contact Alyssa, Cameron, Chris Ganta, Ryan Macklin. Perhaps ask the whole steering committee.
- Create a generic slide deck, in-keeping with TGDP design style system (See issue #74).
- Use TGDP Google account to great the slide deck in the project's Google Drive. Make it read-only.
- Make it modular so that people can cherry-pick slides to use for their purpose.
- Create a couple of slides with broad brushstrokes about the project: Mission, Product, Purpose. A lot of this information could come from the Core Strategy.
- Deep-dive into the project and community: number of members, where they come from, list of working groups.
- Deep-dive into each working group, their purpose and how they work.
- Deep-dive into how we make templates, contributor workflow.
- Standard CTAs, end-slides, get in touch, find us, register for welcome wagon, etc.
- Get it all reviewed somehow.
- Create a policy document for when/how TGDP members can use the slide deck and represent the project at an event.
- "Talking about TGDP at an event". The event might be a meetup, a conference, a lightning talk, etc.
- How do they let PSC know they are going to do it?
- What is the topic/theme of your presentation?
- What is the CTA?
- How to use the slide deck.
- Where to save their presentation.
- What can they alter/tailor (if anything?).
