incentives to run the accuser
I leave these personal comments here for the future.
Denunciation operations are anonymous as pointed out in #143 (closed) . A naive accuser, caring only about the general stability of the network, will effectively award a bonus to a random baker, lucky enough to have its baking slot at the time of the denunciation.
This altruistic behavior ( basically gifting computing cycles to the network, but without any certainty to get a token reward in return ) can be seen by some as a positive investment by some, and by many others as a useless use of resources.
In my opinion, consuming computing power and resources for a greater good (network stability) and gifting tokens to others is not quite the average human user will decide to do. Probably the only entity interested to run the naive accuser will be the foundation, while others will more likely decide to code code their own accuser, or not to run the accuser at all.
Two models are possible: one the altruistic accuser (as it is now) and the other the egoistic accuser where will try to inject the denunciation operation only if the 'accuser" has also at the same time a baking slot that will ensure him the token reward.
The latter model will on one hand delay the injection of denunciation operations, but on the other hand trigger a gambling effect where everybody will want to try their fortune running the accuser.
