data accumulation on non-archive node

I have a node running in "full" mode. I originally created it from a "full" snapshot. It has been running for a couple of months and node storage is 35gb. When I extract a full snapshot and then spin up a new node from this snapshot, the storage is only 23gb.

The expectation is that the same cleanup mechanisms should be used on a live node and on the snapshot generation algorithm and the storage used should not grow over time faster than the snapshot itself does.

I see similar behavior with "rolling" nodes but I don't have figures for this.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
