misc-convert-curves should work even if the active part is just a single edge
This issue is inspired by the discussion here: http://analysissitus.org/forum/index.php?threads/usage-of-new-misc-convert-curves-api.333/post-2016
The attached STEP file contains a single edge: b-spline-curve.stp
Since there are no wires, for the misc-convert-curves
command to work, the user needs to compose an artificial wire like this:
> load-part C:/.../b-spline.stp
> explode -edge
> make-wire "WIRE 1" "EDGE 1"
> set-as-part "WIRE 1"
> misc-convert-curves
We want to avoid useless commands and make it as simple as:
> load-part C:/.../b-spline.stp
> misc-convert-curves
Therefore, the misc-convert-curves
command should check that the passed shape is a single edge and make all necessary conversions NOT ending up with a wire. I.e., wire-in -> wire-out, edge-in -> edge-out.
