customized icon
Hello,
Sorry if not the right place, not used to gitlab :)
(systm spec: win7/FF80)
With light or dark Firefox theme the smart-referer icon isn't quite visible and as I've read previously other have same feeling; plus I wanted to learn a bit about css-inlined svg so finally I've been fiddling with your icon :p
So I share here a jsfiddle link, I'm not a developer but if it can help someone to adapt to custom Firefox theme have a look:
icon1: https://i.imgur.com/eg3YTXK.png
icon2: https://i.imgur.com/26MECJc.png
then put images in chrome/images/ folder of FF' profile and add in userchrome.css :
/*note: for localised version, :not([label^="D"]):not([label^="O"]) and [label^="D"], [label^="O"] should work but didn't find correct syntax so the following will only work for english and french versions, otherwise adapt to your location*/
#smart-referer_meh_paranoid_pk-browser-action .toolbarbutton-icon {
list-style-image: url("images/sm-icon1.png") !important;
}
#smart-referer_meh_paranoid_pk-browser-action .toolbarbutton-icon[label*="sa"] {
list-style-image: url("images/sm-icon2.png") !important;
}
problem is when resized to 16x16 px, it's still not very clear :)
additional:
- maybe you could avoid embedding base64 icons and allow custom colorization
- let choose to translate or not
- out of the scope but for example, when I go to codepen it says the browser doesn't send any referer but it's still the case if I disable the extension, maybe it's not related to smart referer?
thx
