man pages should include version numbers
Most manpages include the version number of the package that builds them. This is displayed in man(1)
in the lower left corner of the manpage:
0 dkg@alice:~$ man gpgv | tail -n1
GnuPG 2.2.40 2022-10-07 GPGV(1)
0 dkg@alice:~$
the manpage shipped with gpgv-sq in 0.5.1-1 (debian package) doesn't have this information:
0 dkg@alice:~$ man gpgv-sq | tail -n1
gpgv-sq gpgv-sq(1)
0 dkg@alice:~$
(it also doesn't have the date; i'm less interested in the date than i am in the version, though).
