We have a situation where I know there are awards missing in the Order of Precedence but only hearing about it through the grapevine. People are supposed to report this to Post Horn or myself, but that doesn't seem to be happening. I've created a form which will hopefully simplify the process. The form is owned by the Schwarzdrachen gmail account.
I tried to update this page directly but every time I attempt to commit the change I get: A file with this name doesn't exist The file name cited is: offices/herald/submitacorrectiontoop.md

Too long; didn't read: Heralds keep track of the awards that the royals give out in an Order of Precedence. If you spot a mistake, here's how to help fix it. {: .notice--primary}
The Crown decides who to recognise based on recommendations from the people of Drachenwald. You can email their Majesties, or send a recommendation via a form online.
Drachenwald's Posthorn Herald is responsible for keeping the order of precedence up to date.
The College of Heralds is responsible for conveying the business of court into the Order of Precedence, but, like medieval heralds, we aren't perfect, and reports get lost in transit or individual awards get omitted. Therefore, sometimes the Order of Precedence requires correcting. This may be anything from a missing award to an incorrect attribution. The College will do its best to assist you in correcting any issues. The more detail you can provide, the easier the process will be, but we don't expect the recipient to be responsible for correcting our mistake. We do however need someone to tell us about it.
Note: Any award you receive is valid from the moment you receive it in an official witnessed court. An omission in the Order of Precedence is a procedural error and does reflect on the award's validity.

What the College needs to verify a correction
-
a copy of the relevant court report. It's possible this stage was omitted, in which case this won't be possible. If this is the case we may need to track down the herald who presided over the court, if you have no scroll. Here are the court reports filed using our new form based reporting system. PLease note some court reports are still filed by email and will not appear in this list. It is possible that a recent report hasn't been recorded into the Order of Precedence yet.
-
a copy of the scroll for the award. The verifying herald may not be familiar with the script or language used, so we may need to source a transcription or translation too.
-
If neither of these exist, we will need to confirm the award with the Royals responsible, or perhaps with the help of the relevant Signet.
What needs changing?
-
a missing award is one received within Drachenwald. Please use the form to inform us of the omission.
-
an error is an award listed in the Order of Precedence incorrectly. This may be the wrong date, wrong award or wrong event, as examples. Please use the form to send a correction.
-
a personal update is one which involves information which we probably won't receive via a court report and probably affects your entire award record. This includes such things as an error in your mundane or SCA name, a change in your SCA residence or a change in your primary persona name. Please report these changes via email to Posthorn Herald and optionally to Schwarzdrachen Herald.
-
new/returning resident awards which were received in another kingdom should be reported via email to Posthorn Herald and optionally Schwarzdrachen Herald. Please tell us the mundane name and persona name of the person involved, and also a link to the relevant Kingdom(s)'s own Order of Precedence. We encourage these updates as it helps the College when creating precedence orders for key events in the Kingdom calendar.

adding arms to the Armorial: please hang onto your art! We'll post instructions on sending new artwork for publishing in the Armorial when the new Armorial is up and running.
-
something else not listed: please email Posthorn Herald or Schwarzdrachen Herald to explain.
