The 17.0 major release is coming on May 16, 2024! This version brings many exciting improvements to GitLab, but also removes some deprecated features. This MR is to solve issue #1795 (closed), I found replacing out.write() by print() would keep the prompt from disappearing, probably it triggers the return for the prompt. I guess the out could be something else except for stdout, which cause this issue.
