After https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-17561 a lot of issues were resolved to fix wrong operations. But the simplification to get only one reset at initialization introduces some regressions in specific scenarios. Apply the following commits to fix this as well.

In addition the complete driver is updated with upstream.

Tested: basic testing and specific testing related to the fixes
