Resolve "Set short socket timeout when instantiating the instruments for the first time"

Missing:

  • Test whether the longer timeout after connection does indeed work, if a previous shorter timeout is implemented before connecting. Disconneting the device in order to fake a timeout doesn't work (at least in windows):
