RFE: Could sysctl handle tunables under /sys as well as /proc/sys ?
Hi, would it be within scope to extend sysctl to handle tunables that exist under /sys as well as under /proc/sys?
Over the past many years, I believe there has been an effort to add tunables to /sys rather than /proc - this leaves these tunables without the elegant management interface sysctl provides.
I understand that it's not /proc though, so maybe out of scope. But I'd like to at least raise the question.
(for comparison, there are about 1K writable files under /proc/sys and about 27K under /sys ...)
Thanks,
