samsung-m0: move to community

Newbyte requested to merge newbyte/m0-community into master

Couldn't have a new release without a new device, could we? 😄

m0 is not quite as featureful as some other devices in community, but it does fulfil the requirements in the device categorisation article and I definitely think it's useful in some sense. Additionally, some features that aren't currently working have had significant work put into them, such as the cameras. My understanding is that it mostly should be a matter of fixing up Megapixels. Another nice thing is that Replicant wants to support this device with mainline Linux. Plus, it's Galaxy S III's 10th birthday in May 🎂.

Notable missing features:

  • Modem
    • Replicant has worked on this, but they're using oFono.
  • Cameras
    • As mentioned previously, should be possible to get this going.
  • Headphone jack audio output
    • Might just be that I messed up when writing the UCM configuration file, haven't looked into it much since.
  • Bluetooth
    • Mostly works, but Bluetooth audio is garbled.
  • GPS
    • ???
  • USB networking
    • This works, but cable detection is broken so it's quirky. You essentially have to make sure the device is plugged in when you start it up.
  • DRM
    • DRM works, but Exynos DRM isn't super well-maintained. Phosh and Sxmo work fine and can run 3D-accelerated apps, but e.g. Plasma Mobile doesn't work.

Another thing worth noting is that we have a very similar device with almost identical support status, samsung-m3. However, it doesn't have an active maintainer and I don't own it so I don't think moving it is a good idea.
