As discussed on !2150 (closed) and following the advice given there I have started a new MR for the samsung-hlte, basically what I have done is...
Apply Adam's Commit 7dd3191d which implements initial support for Samsung... Then apply a couple of suggestions by @ollieparanoid
And update everything to current master.
The work done by Adam (@CalcProgrammer1) is working to the point that mainline's implementation is booting and FB and touchscreen works.
