[PinePhone] Not receiving incoming calls
Describe your issue
What's the expected behaviour?
When someone is trying to call, the phone should ring and display a screen with buttons to answer the phone. When you miss a phone call, you should receive a notification telling you so.
What's the current behaviour?
The person trying to call hears like the phone is ringing, but absolutely nothing happens on the pinephone. There is no sound, no "ringing screen" and I don't receive any notification of missed calls, whether the screen is locked or unlocked. Sending and receiving SMS is working, as well as calls initiated by the Pinephone. The APN is configured and 4g is working.
How to reproduce your issue?
Ask someone to call you on your PinePhone, with your sim card unlocked.
What device are you using?
PINEPHONE – “Community Edition: PostmarketOS with Convergence Package” (3G RAM, 32G emmc)
On what postmarketOS version did you encounter the issue?
-
edge ( master
branch, v1.23.0) on SD card -
stable ( v1.22.0
branch) on internal memory
(I tested both, but I currently use the edge version more)
On what environment did you encounter the issue?
Phone environments
-
Phosh (other environments not tested)
How did you get postmarketOS image?
-
from https://images.postmarketos.org -
I built it using pmbootstrap -
It was preinstalled on my device
(tried both)
What's the build date of the image? (in dd-mm-yyyy format)
Edge version built on the 25/09/2020. I don't know when the preinstalled image was built.
Additional information
Since others don't appear to have this issue, it might be related to my carrier somehow. I am in Belgium using Scarlet, a carrier of Proximus (I'd be happy to provide more information if I can, I just don't know what could be relevant, don't hesitate to ask). I read somewhere that it took some time before the phone can ring at the moment, so I configured my voicemail to activate the latest possible with my carrier (30 sec).
