Look into getting Cutie Shell into postmarketOS
Cutie Shell is a very new shell for mobile devices, written in QT it takes after SailfishOS in look/feel but drops any actual links (it doesn't use lipstick like Glacier / nemo mobile does).
It seems like a lot of progress is being made in quite a short amount of time here, and with the majority of development happening for Droidian / Halium it would be great to get it going on mainline devices and make our voices heard so that it can support as many devices as possible. The largest potential pitfull here is that it is built with Ofono in mind, which would be quite limiting for Qcom mainline devices where ModemManager has the best support.
The same developers also maintain ofono2mm, a tool used to enable Phosh on Halium devices where Ofono is required for modem support, so one potential solution would be for Cutie Shell to support MM natively, and make use of the same tool for Halium devices, though that decision would be up to them at the end of the day...
I'm mostly making this issue so we can be aware of it, as I think getting the shell merged in pmaports edge would be a great way to get a wider userbase and help make this shell as good as it can be!
Anyone interested in packaging this?
