Changes coming to PyMuPDF 1.23.9
The "rebased" fitz [1] will become the default [2].
Quoting Fedora bug report [3]:
As far as I understand, this would require all users to switch to
import fitz_old as fitz
until we can package the rebased implementation, which in turn requires fundamental changes in mupdf packaging (or bundling mupdf with PyMuPDF, which we shouldn't do).

I have not studied or tested any of this but we should probably not do the patch
level bump until once of us takes a closer look.
