Consider a Gopher site
Hugo can be (ab)used to generate gopher files which are pretty much just the markdown source and a gophermap index.
It would be fairly trivial to add it as an output to this site. The existing CloudFront front end wouldn't be able to talk Gopher, but a small VM or container would be able to with no problem.
Bonus points for having Gitlab CI bundle the gopher files and a gopher server into a container and publish it in the registry, and then have a k8s runtime automatically update the running server.
Before doing this, decide if this approach of just dumping markdown originally intended as web content into gopher as plain text is an adequate thing to do. Will the UX suck compared to hand-crafted Gopher content?
