I added the ability to give domains and machines multiple NICs.  I also
reworked the layout and logic of the functions to be clearer and consistent.  I
also changed the return status fro command-line errors to `127.  I also fixed a
bug in the routine to get a MAC address from an IPv4 address.  None of this has
been thoroughly tested, and the XML functions are largely an unchanged mess.
